privacy
on /play and /daily
your photo never leaves your device. only the derived numbers (symmetry, jaw collapse, aura drain) are sent to be judged. we do not store the image. we do not have a copy.
on /arena
the arena is different. video and audio stream directly between you and your opponent over WebRTC. we route the connection setup, but we do not record, store, or play back the stream. when network conditions force a relay, the stream passes through Cloudflare TURN servers in transit only — encrypted and not retained.
at the moment of judgement, your browser captures one still frame from your own video, runs the same local face analysis as /play, and sends only the derived numbers to be judged. the frame is not sent.
what we keep
- your handle (if you signed up) and your scores, for the ladder.
- a versioned record that you accepted the arena terms (timestamp + version), in your browser's localStorage.
- basic operational logs (queue events, session lifecycles) for at most 24 hours, to keep the matchmaking working.
what we don't keep
- your photos.
- arena video or audio.
- your IP address beyond what is unavoidable for serving the page.
other people on the arena
this is the internet. people are unpredictable. you can skip or leave at any time and we recommend you do so the moment something feels off. we do not moderate the arena.
